O Santos Comida offers its guests a truly authentic Portuguese experience.

Located in Macau’s Taipa district, this family-run eatery with generations of history serves up traditional Macanese and Portuguese cuisine. Adorning the walls are pictures and souvenirs of Portuguese football and a portrait of the owner from his younger days as a sailor.

Must-try dishes include the Baked Duck Rice, Amêijoas à Bulhão Pato (Clams) and the Leitão Assado à Moda do Santos (Portuguese Suckling Pig).

This restaurant is always packed, so expect crowds and come a bit early if you’ve made a reservation. Reservations can be made via the website or Facebook, but be sure you receive a confirmation to ensure you’re booked in.

Visitors should note the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays.
